Default Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig autos???

Happy New Year's everyone.

I am supposed to go look at these this morning. As I am clueless when it comes to autos, I was hoping someone could save me the time and trouble of viewing these. Are any of them good?? Thanks in advance for any help.

I think these were discussed in another thread. If not, then it was the person who the COA is from. Check the threads about that person.

If I remember that (or those threads) correctly, the COA's are from someone who isn't very reputable and you would be better off bidding on the Bentley. But do a search of the name of that person because I might be wrong.

Default Auto's

Martin,

Tough to say. How did they obtain 3 Ruth auto's?

After the last few hauls of shame articles, I don't think PSA/DNA and JSA even know what an authentic auto looks like anymore

Thanks David,

You're right about the Bentley. I did a search for Ruth Autos and although I didn't find that exact one, I found out enough about Autograph Certification Experts (ACE) to know I should probably stay away. All the certs are from the beginning of the month and after the death of the owner of these items. I had just thought the the auctioneer may have only done a google search to find an authenticator and stumbled onto ACE, and maybe , just maybe, some of the items were real.

probably went with the 1st COA company they found that was cheap... not uncommon for people not in the know.

ACE doesnt mean the items are not authentic..... Bid like they had no COA

ie. Ive bought quite a few nice real cards in PRO slabs, including a Tango Egg Jennings...
