Default OT: Are We Going To Trivia Up This Board ? :)

Posted By: Richard Simon

Two of my favorite baseball trivia questions: (I could not resist when I saw the Bob Feller trivia question to post my own)

What two players had home runs as a 19 year old and as a 40 year old?

What player had 500 hits for four different teams?

I believe the answer is Ty Cobb and Rusty Staub for question #1 and Rusty Staub for question #2. CN Staub did it for the Astros,Expos,Mets and Tigers.

But I believe he faced both batters -- not sure about the homer to each of them

I believe that he gave up homers to both.
But, I will always allow for the occasional mistake.

I have a chart that lists all of Mantles 536 reg season HRs. He never hit one off Benton or Leonard, but he did off Bobo--6-5-1953. Trouble is the Bobo was Hollomon!

A quick trip to Wikipedia and Al Benton is the only pitcher to have pitched to The Mick and The Babe. HRs have nothing to do with it!
