I picked up the newest addition of "Beckett Vintage Collector".

Our very own Leon Luckey (owner Net54) is quoted in an article.

Are the BVs in this the same as the Beckett Almanac? I have an Almanac from last year and noticed some prices were different than what was in this magazine. Was just curious.

Will get around to reading the stories soon. Just looked through to see what my cards' prices had done recently since I hadn't picked up a vintage Beckett since last summer (2018).

Great Pick-ups All. With all the auctions closing, I expect December will be a stellar month.

Jeff, that is one heck of an E94 Cobb. Very clean.

The T215 is from Heritage and the balance is from REA.

Way to go Ryan!! When I first saw that Kotton Cobb I immediately thought that you need to go after that one. Congrats on a fantastic haul.

Thanks everyone.

Michael, I think picking oranges from an apple tree and making lemonade with them is an awesome super power - I wish I could do that (as well as the other stuff on your list).

Default Finally Pulled the Trigger

Being a small fry that always wanted a Cobb portrait knew I`ve have to take my time and have to be a little lucky. Thankfully a fellow "54`er" Don Hontz was more than willing to work with me and we made it happen. Transactions like this are what makes the B S T board the 1`st and often the last place I look for collection additions. Great items this month, keep them coming.

It is. I bought the card for one kid when they were born, asked Tim to make a "copy" for the other kid when they were. So they're like a set. Felt like a 6 year old on christmas morning opening the box.

I was scrolling through this thread and I'm blown away! At first, I was going to say "nice card" to this guy and "nice Wagner art" to another guy. After looking at all of it..."Nice stuff to all!"
This is more fun than the day the Heritage Catalog arrives! I'm new to these forums so, please forgive me for being Captain Obvious for awhile. There are some really beautiful items on here!

Default Chief Meyers T205 back run complete!

Finally picked up the last back I needed to complete my Chief Meyers T205 back run!

A T205 Meyers with a Cycle back arrived this morning from TN. The last two backs, Piedmont Factory 42, and Cycle proved difficult to find especially in nice condition. I settled for slight paper loss on the back of each.

Even picked up an American Beauty (green) T205 along the way!

Nice Nadja Caramels pickup, Steve. I never tire of seeing the various cards with this Matty pose. Since you mentioned your back run in your post, I believe this obligates you to show your progress in the current back-run thread!

Default Art Wilson E125 American Caramel Diecut

The Art Wilson E125 American Caramel Diecut I won in the recent REA Auction arrived today.

Only need a Bill Carrigan E125 to complete my run of catchers for the set since I previously owned a George Gibson and a Ira Thomas E125!

Great pickup (as well as the others in this thread). Subject matter, rarity, series...it has it all....
Sweet looking run so far. Good luck with the rest of them.

Here is a pickup from REA....1940s RPPC (Mexican) of Joltin' Joe....

Posted already in the REA pickup thread, but this just arrived. Includes HOFers Rube Foster, Pete Hill, & Louis Santop. This haunting image speaks to all of my passions about card collecting! Difficult to choose a favorite child... but this one CURRENTLY is she. :-)

Default REA Delivery Day

So excited when I got the text that my REA package was out for delivery. Met the mail lady at the box. So glad to add this to my Des Moines collectionn. BTW when I showed it to my 12 year old son he said that the guy in the middle looks like Putin. Made me laugh out loud.
