Default T207 Livingston - Help with Large/Small C

Posted By: Ron Lambert

Can any of the T-207 experts out there show me the difference between the Paddy Livingston small C and large C? I'm trying to figure out which one I have.

Thanks in advance

Ron

I can scan both but I think there is a past thread with this info in it. You can also tell because the C's are very different. I believe the large C has straight piece at the bottom 45 degree angle.

Hi Ron,

A recent thread had a discussion on this topic: http://www.network54.com/Forum/153652/thread/1203059468/T207+Livingston - most of the images are gone, but at least one (small C) remains.

A recent one one eBay looked like "small C" to me - is that one you won? Here's one of "Big C":

The 1 pictured here is a large C as the 2 angles match. The one in the other thread that Bruce posted is a small C and mislabelled. You can tell because the bottom angle is much larger than the top one. Dan.

Looks like the small c starts under the 1st button and the large starts above it.

Your's is the small c.

Interesting thread, at least if you like this weird set. I'd been skeptical that the different "C"'s were distinguishable, but now I can see the difference. This would count, in my opinion, as a legitimate variation, unlike, say, the Davis "blue C on cap", which is just a color error (that card exists, btw, as Doug D. proved to us a few years ago).

You can see the outline of the "A" (for the Athletics) that's on Paddy's shirt in these examples. I bet they switched him to the "C" after he got traded, printed it, then someone said 'too big', so they went back and fixed it.

Bill

Good call Bill.

I have the little c and always figured the outline behind was the bigger c but from the scan in this thread it's clearly the a.
