Default 1933 Goudey Jimmy Wilson

I'm very interested in this 1933 Goudey Jimmy Wilson that has been graded a Mint 9 from ISA. According to ISA's population report, it is the only mint card from the whole set. I've provided the link to the auction below. I was wondering what you guys think of the card. Such as, do you think the card is possibly altered or trimmed and do you think it has been accurately graded? Is this another case of "if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is?"

What is your fascination with this ISA grading company? Do you have any ties whatsoever with it? Do you know anyone at the company?

The card looks thin and if it were in another holder it would be worth more, no doubt.

I think it would be best to look at a PSA report, SGC, or BVG report, of course ISA would have only 1 or less they are too new.

As part of the rules to be a member on this forum you must have on file *(my private file) your good contact info. I just called this "Anthony" person from the number on file, a male picked up the phone, I asked for Anthony and he hung up. Then I called back and went straight to voice mail...which of course there was no reason for me to leave one.....,... by the way here is what Acromos1 registered with-

1. acramos1
2. Anthony Ramos
3. 620-802-xxxx
IP address 72.209.183.103

I think there is a good possibility this person has some ties to ISA, or else why the repeated posts about them? At any rate, trolls aren't allowed and neither is anyone with bad info or not reachable by phone. Tough rules but they work, imo. This person is now banned. I think the ISA threads will decrease, magically.

I am in no way saying that unequivocally. I definitely don't know it for fact. I am only posing a question about why someone would act like this person did and then not even talk on the phone.

His area code is nowhere near ISA's vast campus in Michigan. He should get some credit for visiting the ISA registry. Just him and a bunch of crickets......

Best,

Andy

Bottom line is if you don't feel comfortable buying an ISA card then stay away. Buy a PSA or an SGC card. The constant threads by Mr. Ramos regarding them made no sense. That seemed to be the only thing he wanted to talk about.

Wow, thin is an understatement. Those borders and corners aren't natural.

I assumed from the start that he had already attempted to cross his ISA cards, but they didn't make the cut (no pun intended). Subsequently, he reached out to ISA, but they were not receptive. Total guess based on threads, but he definitely has an issue with them.

Thanks Leon, as always the work you do to provide a safe environment for us dorks to dork-out in is very appreciated. As Andy stated that area code in NOT consistent with the location of ISA.

His area code is in Kansas, although it may be a cell number, certainly the hotbed of card grading companies!
