Default "Original" louisville slugger baseball bats metal sign from the old factory

How can there be so many of these "original" metal signs from the old Louisville factory? They are always on ebay. I could only imagine there being a total of a couple of these signs on the building?? What are your thoughts?

Michael I posted about these several months ago -- they are obviously not vintage and have been reproduced, most likely from the vintage plastic H&B bat rack sign that looks identical. ebay seller treasureray has been selling them for years -- he used to make it sound like it was one of a kind, coming right off the wall at the H&B plant. Now he has changed his description, with the same kind of vague wording used by sellers with reprint baseball cards.
Amazingly they keep selling in the 100-250 dollar range. Please see the link below.

Was a story that they were imbedded in the sidewalk near the factory and people keep stealing them????

Every one I've ever seen has the mounting holes on both sides as if it was meant for hanging -- treasureray's story was always that they came off the wall at the factory. He does have other pieces that he describes as sidewalk markers that he also sells over and over again.
