Default Photo of "Ted Williams"

A woman contacted me today and asked if I could verify that Ted Williams is in this photo. I am very skeptical of finding great players in obscure photos because I've been down that road many times. But she said her brother, who is pictured on the left, told her he played with Ted, and he's the guy standing next him. What do you all think?

Face looks a little iffy. He was very tall and thin as a reed after HS and B4 signing with the PCL Pads in '36. This guy in the picture looks a little beefier. But, pretty sure he played legion ball after HS in San Diego in '36. Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Currently, American Legion Post 125 in California is nowhere near San Diego.
Unless it moved it is unlikely this was the team Williams played with.

He's not smiling, so I'm leaning towards yes...

I don't recall Ted Williams playing for any American Legion post other than Padre Serra 370. Post 125 could be Los Angeles Leonard Wood 125.

Is the brother still alive? If so he would be approaching 100 years old, unless Ted got in a Legion uniform on a lark, long after his career was underway.

Thanks for all your replies. I'm going to assume it's not Ted.
