Default 1970s/80s Team issued Newspapers

Does anyone else collect these? A's News, Giants Journal, Braves Banner?

Seems like a number of teams published these in the 70s and 80s...what do you have?

Default Orioles Gazette Newspapers

I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about, but the Baltimore Orioles had a newspaper type publication for a few years between 1991-1994. I'm not sure if it was an actual team issue, but several Oriole employees were involved and they were sold at the ballpark.

My scanner is too small to capture the whole newspaper, so I pieced together a couple scans to give you an idea of what they look like. They are 11"x14".

In 1991, they were called 33rd Street Gazette and there were 2 issues. When the Orioles moved to Camden Yards in 1992, the name was changed to Orioles Gazette. There were 17 issues in 92, 19 issues in 93 and 6 issues in 94, before they went to a different format.

I have about 20 duplicate issues if anyone is interested.

Those are indeed what I'm talking about. And that's LATE for a team to be printing those, from what I've seen. The Pirates went into the 90s with theirs too.

I had forgotten about some of these...

Giants Jottings was a carry-over from the New York days. SF mailed them out from 1958-72. The header was printed in black and orange soon after the first issue. The content was always black and white. I am trying to complete my collection.

Giants Journal ran from 1979 until maybe 1982? The format of the paper changed a few times.

Giants Booster Shot was around from 1980 through 1981.

Finally, Giants Report was short-lived from 1993-1994.

I know the Cubs had their "Vine Line" which was a monthly glossy newspaper-like publication starting in the 80's and my sister probably had every one of them as she was a Cubs fanatic and waited by the mailbox for her monthly Vine Line. She passed away several years ago and I have no idea what actually happened to them but I wish they were still around as they had interesting articles and interviews I always thought were interesting.
