Default 1951 Hirsch Clothing Stores Chicago Cubs Premiums

I picked up what I believe is a full set of these in August 2016 at a Buy-It-Now price that I couldn't pass up, and I didn't think much about them until someone recently put up one of the photos on eBay at a big price. In his description, he tells that they are extremely rare and only three Cubs were known. I did some research on them and found out that they were listed in the 2016 Standard Catalog of Vintage Cards, so I bought a copy on eBay to see what information the Catalog had. It only lists the three known photos of Hank Sauer, Johnny Schmitz, and Bob Schultz. My set has a neat light brown envelope/album to hold the photos, a photo with Manager Frank Frisch, and ten players. All photos have statistics or a write up on the back. I do not know if this constitutes a complete set, but I would imagine it is. I would have contacted Bob Lemke first about these, but he has unfortunately passed on.

Cliff,

While I don’t know much of anything on these I love viewing the odd-ball type items and pieces I’ve never seen before. Very cool set.

The set alone is amazing. The envelope/album takes it to the next level!
