1930s PCL Player Game Used Baseball Bat
1930s Pacific Coast League player Bill Prout game used bat from the Hillerich & Bradsby vaults. Prout played in the 1930s for the Los Angeles Angels, San Francisco Seals and Sacramento Solons. As was standard practice for pro players back then, Prout himself sent this used bat to H & B so they could make him new bats for him. Has the H & B and block letter 'Prout' stamps, along with H & B's side writing with the player's name and 1937 date. This H & B side writing documents that the bat came from Prout and was received by H & B in 1937. The bat is 34.5 inches, 34 ounces. The bat is intact, but has some major cracks, repairing bat nails, game use and grain separation on one side. The H & B and Prout brands display well with the side writing just above it.
