Default Is it just his blacksockedness or something more?

It seems to me that the Chick Gandil T206 is a good bit scarcer than other issues...gratefully, I picked up a nice AB a few years ago, but have been keeping an eye out for another just in case the $ get tempting and I want to downgrade. I have very, very seldom seen them come up, even in comparison to "tough" cards. What is your experience?

Probably because he played for the Sox but I have never found T206 Gandils very difficult. Now the 1909 Obak Gandil is a different story....

Gandil's team affiliation almost certainly makes him a more popular T206, but I haven't observed him to be tougher than any others...he does sell for a bit more though.

Default W514's

The same can be said for the W514 set. All of the Black Sox in W 514's go for a significant premium. Sometimes I am amazed at the price. It is probably why I still find myself without those players in my W514 set.
