What's wrong with Yankee cologne? I love the smell of Yankee cologne in the morning...smells like victory!

I can't believe the difference in some of these scans. Does anyone know if the CCD image sensor is available on All In One printers? I can seem to only locate that with scanners only.

Patrick,

Thanks for the information. Getting ready to head out to Best Buy to get one. As luck would have it my other printer/scanner pooped out. My wife doesn't believe luck had any involvement with that printer not working

Default Wow

I just got my Canon 9000F and HOLY SMOKES! I can't get over how awesome my cards look now!!! I just scanned four recent pick-ups (great ones, I might add) from April/May and the scans make me look like a pro.

It will probably take many weeks/months to go through all my cards and re-scan everything, but I think it will be worth it!!! It'll be like I have a brand new collection!

Enjoy!

Default I'm a rookie with my new scanner, how do they look?

So, I'm reviving this old thread because it's taken me this long to actually drop the money on a scanner instead of my beloved bums. Which I think is the answer to the OP's initial question, because we'd rather buy cardboard! Anyways, went to Microcenter last night and got my Canoscan 9000F (openbox, no power cord) for $36. It works so its all good, however I'm wondering if my scans are coming out OK, and or any tips my more knowledgeable form members would recommend. I have it on document, color magazine, 300dpi, lid open (all recommended in this thread), but not quite sure on the colors or even if I should mess with them.

A note on the cards. These are cards that I gave to my oldest son (as I only collect Brooklyn Dodgers now, and don't have any handy). Yes they are in screwdowns, but it should help show how graded cards would scan.

Ben, your cards look bright and colorful to me. I don't really see any streaking or blurring on the images.
