Default Legendary viewing

Stuck on duty for a 24, on an iPod, and unable to access some of the images of auction 112 (M114 grouping) at legendary.

Would a kind collector mind snagging a shot of the 1917 and 1919 Black Sox team composites please? tia, Steve

Much appreciated Matt.

WacKy that they'd omit a shot of arguably, the most desired photo in the lot. Yet another reason to ignore Legendary.

This is a great auction, as was the live auction at the National. There is no reason to ignore Legendary--they are back in the mix.

Jay - no one is ignoring Legendary due to the quality of their offerings - those who are staying away are doing so consciously. You can read old threads if you need the details - I'm happy to supply links if you have trouble finding them.

Matt-I was responding to Steve's second post in this thread. I am well aware of what went on with Legendary in the past. My point is that they seem to be rebuilding their reputation, and the quality of their auctions reflects this.

Obviously consignors weren't scared off for long. The postcards in this upcoming auction are incredible.

Steve was speaking as a bidder, not as a consignor - as a bidder, the issues had/have nothing to do with the selection they offered.

A little shill bidding amongst friends is perfectly acceptable behavior. Heck, from a sellers perspective, I would say that would be an incentive to consign. Alright, nothing to see here, move along...move along....

Lovely Day...

Actually Matt, I wasn't going to bid. I have zero confidence in the Legendary hierarchy. Just wanted a couple of scans for my album.

Mastro's good reputation was based solely on them delivering eye-popping prices to consignors. A criminal investigation of their shill bidding and other fraudulent practices appears to be providing a basis for that well-earned reputation. Crack dealers have good reputations with their customers too as long as they deliver the product; doesn't mean that no laws were broken in the process.

Default my Eddie Plank

Jeff,

I bought my T206 Plank in a Mastro auction back in April 2007. What can I do to find out how much it was shilled so I can get some money back?

Thanks!
