Lol I to was blown away by Wheaties selection. I have been looking for a Gehringer with a full border for awhile to display with my mini. The Medwick goes along with my NJ ballplayers collection.

Default Battlefield, is that you??

Maybe I'm way off-base here, but I just ran across the newest little Auction House on the block, Candiman Auctions. http://www.candimanauctions.com/
Unusually, nearly all lots are ungraded, and many look a little "too good". Hmmm, now where have I seen this before....
Based in Alabama, apparently, per their Contact info and Disclaimers. Is this ringing any bells??

Are we seeing Battlefield Vintage/War_Eagle_Vintage's Swan Song?
It certainly looks like everything must go.

I was disciplined enough to stay away from them on Ebay, thankfully, but even if I were entertaining a cheeky bid with this Auction House, the terms are enough to conclusively scare me away.
I'm not a lawyer, but I'm also not an idiot, and I have NO idea what this means! LOL. Caveat Emptor to the maxx.

13. Authenticity
: "Candiman Auctions takes extreme pride in the authentication of the material offered within our auctions. All items are sold as 100% genuine and every effort has been made to ensure the authenticity of each item in our auction. In many instances we use reputable third party authentication. While we as a firm perform due diligence in order to maintain the integrity of our auctions, we encourage bidders to use every resource available to them to draw their own conclusions. As a firm we will make every effort to help in the process. Because of our efforts to ensure the authenticity of the items within the auction as well as the opportunity we offer bidders to confirm our findings as well as that of our experts and third party authentication, it is our policy that all sales will be considered final".

What the?? Thoughts from the experts?

No problem with auction sales being final, of course.
It's the stumbling, ham-fisted justification of all sales being final in their Disclaimer that seemed unusual.

Vague statements about "efforts", "opportunities" and "our experts" wouldn't give me much solace upon receiving a Trimmed card back from a TPG, post-auction.
Or receiving a disappointing card that was photoshop-enhanced in the auction catalog.

I stays away from that danger.

I received a message from the woman who runs Battlefield telling me they sent their cards to this auction house and that they gave up selling on eBay.

Wow, thanks -- that's really interesting info for the community to know.

Although I'd be shocked if it isn't her or her direct partners who operate this Auction site.
The backstory on the website says it was founded by two brothers, Daniel and Justin Candiman, who "played various sports". The hobby isn't that big -- does anyone know if these guys are real?
Candiman Auctions didn't even exist before mid-January 2018, and they have never conducted even one single auction prior. Nearly all the cards look to be raw, which was always her (Battlefield's) M.O. on eBay.

I will continue to steer well clear, personally
.

Good catch on this Jason. A quick google search of their names provided an interesting result......"No results found for "daniel Candiman".", and for Justin, just this thread came up as a result. Perhaps the last name was mistakenly mis-spelled on the website.

Default Who is battlefield?

The answer is too obvious. Problem solved.

Who can take a sunrise
Sprinkle it in dew
Cover it in chocolate
and a miracle or two?
The candyman
The candyman can
The candyman can cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good
Who can take a rainbow
Wrap it is a sigh
Soak it in the sun
and make a strawberry lemon pie?
The candyman?
The candyman
The candyman can
The candyman can cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good
