Default BABE RUTH BOGUS AUTOGRAPH on a 1952 2 cent postcard on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=290470842381

seller claims the postcard was used in 1926-28,,, the postcard has no cancellation mark, and was not in use until Jan 1, 1952. Though on rare occasion I have obtained a legit autograph on an uncancelled government postcard, that is not the case here.
Oops,,, another ebay oops,,,

he also has christy Mathewson on a postcard that he says was purchased from Ron Gordon. Looks like a mini CC going on there

The autograph(s) are authentic. I do not guarantee any autograph I sell will pass any third party inspection, because theres' is only an opinion.

I find that telling, in that , for example, the Matty. How would the SELLER know its authentic, if other third party's wouldn't?. I wouldn't buy anything form this guy, especially after Richard's post and a VERY questionable Matty, that looks like it was done yesterday.

I agree that both autographs are highly questionable but it seems I was in error on the postcard. Though postage was only one cent at the time, there was a two cent postcard in circulation and that one came out in the 1940's.
A friend of mine in the stamp and autograph business just e mailed me with that info. He also said that postcard is a favorite for forging.

Default I would be curious to know . . .

.

. . . whether Ron (Gordon) would remember whether he handled the Mathewson signed postcard or not. Ron has a pretty good memory. And a piece like that is quite unique. I know I would remember something that special twenty years later.

Both of those are gone, but check out this:

An eBay opinion? Where do these people come from?

Everyone knows that Babe Ruth can't return from the dead and sign a postcard. Only Chuck Norris will do that...
