wow, and the estimate is over 5 thousand dollars... Are there other reputable grading companies who will DO celebrity Driver License authentication?

Wow, She has a class C. I didn't know she could drive a truck up to 26,000 lbs.

Old driver's licenses were hand signed by the celebrity, so are authenticated as autographs. In fact, I once bid on (and lost) Greta Garbo's signed driver's license.

I bid on Johnny Cash's license (it sold for like $6,500) and yes, they basically look at the signature which is in itself "self-certified" so really, what's the point of getting another person to say that it's this person signature. I'm sure "Vicki" didn't ghost sign this piece.

You want an outside opinion as you can never be sure if a 17 year old forged Johny Cash's license to buy beer.

I planned on using the Greta Garbo license to buy beer, and the Joe DiMaggio signed credit card in another lot to pay.

Store owner: So you're Greta Garbo?? The deceased silent movie actress who had a thick Swedish accent?
Me: Yes.
Store owner: Fair enough. Paper or plastic?

In defense of GAI, if I were going to spend $5,000+ for a celebrity's driver's license, I would not object to a third party having given their opinion on authenticity.

I see no difference between this and getting a signed check bank authenticated...then having that autograph graded.

I would much rather have it in a (any) slab, both protected and authenticated by a 3rd party.
