Default Tuesday nite Trivia ?

I finally fulfilled a promise to my Grandson, Ron. He made a special trip from Maine (he attends the Univ. of Maine)
and we went to the new Yankee Stadium. What an unbelievable structure.

I think the Babe would approve of this 21st Century version of "The House that Ruth Built".

But, wait a minute....who was the motivating force behind the construction of the original Yankee Stadium ?

I think I know the answer, but I had to look it up and make sure so I don't want to cheat.

I don't know Ted if this is what you mean, but I believe the Giants owner kicked them out of the Polo Grounds. I know a Stoneham was the owner but I can't recall his first name.

I'm not too sure what the motivating force meant either, but Charles Stoneham (I had to look up his first name) was my guess since he's the one that kicked the Yankees out of the Polo Grounds.

Oh yeah Charles, all I could think of was Horace, the son.

That was what I meant by I didn't want to cheat, because I had to look up the first name. I was waiting for someone else to guess it first so they could get the credit (if that is the answer).
