Lol,

I was going through some of my boxes last fall that I have not touched in years with my son to explain some of the obscure stuff. There were multiple cards that were currently on my want list I found that I had at least 7 to 10 each of. It really made me question my sanity.

Specifically the one card in reference but not total in my collection at one point was the 1933 Goudey Bottomley. At the peak of it's population I had nine examples.

Set up at a show but need to hit the gents. When you come out, you can't remember where your table is!

On approximately a handful of occasions my heart sank when I checked my checklists after a purchase.

And a card which has nothing to do with the subject.

One of the good things about going senile is that if want some new cards, my wife will tell me to go thru some boxes. I'll find new things I don't have to buy!

A few minutes ago I was looking for a picture and found this. I had no idea I had it, or where I got it. I wish it was nicer, it has a pretty good ding on the left side. Still It's free and I don't have to wait for shipping

My hand is sheepishly raised! If anyone needs an example of this card, just make me a reasonable offer via PM, and it's yours.

What’s bad is when you not only forget you already had a card you just bought, but the card you have is an SGC 60 and you overpaid and bought a 30.
I sheepishly raise my hand too.

Default Senile

A couple weeks ago, I couldn’t find a Parky Gordie Howe and thought (first mistake) that I traded it at a show. Fast forward to this weekend. I opened my glove box and, under the car registration, located the errant Howe. Can’t explain how it got there. I’m calling him the “Crop Circle Howe”. Trent King

When I was younger, I would wait all week for an auction, and win some and lose some.

Now, I still wait all week, and I lose every auction. I don't get blown out of the water. I lose by exactly one bid increment. I guess someone started collecting n284 tonight, or wanted to place reserves and placed them too high.

One of my guilty admittances is that in the early 2000's I bought a lovely NM 64' Pete Rose on eBay. After never seeing it arrive, I contacted the seller to discuss and we figured it was lost in the mail. In the days well before PayPal protection, he refunded me half and we parted ways, no hard feelings.

Almost 6 years later I tossed out the living room sofa and as I moved it out to the road heard the usual jingle of lost change. Cut open the bottom liner and emptied the expected sofa treasures of some of my son's matchbox cars, couple dollars in change, and a perfectly sealed envelope containing that 64' Rose.

I must have tossed the mail on the couch and it found it's way to the lost blackhole of stuff. Could not figure out that seller's contact info after all that time and a postcard came back wrong address.

Still feel a little guilty for that.

Um that was me that sold the Rose card! Yea that's it, it was me!
Joking aside, accidents happen and you tried to rectify by writing him. I would not feel guilty. Like I said, accidents happen.
