Default Len Stockwell (and others) scan request

Posted By: Jason Christopherson

Hello-
A few years back I posted on this board looking for some help with a baseball history project and many of you came through for me. Unfortunately, my "Baseball in Eau Claire, Vol. 2" book through Arcadia Publishing was scrapped before it started, but now I'm working on a project for the Eau Claire Baseball Hall of Fame. Basically we want to display a poster of all players with connections to both Eau Claire and the majors. This poster will not be for sale--it will simply be a display inside the ballpark.

By my count, there are 113 men that played or managed in Eau Claire and in the major leagues. According to SABR, nine of these men have no known photograph (Pat Sullivan, Jim Gallagher, Tom Sexton, Frank Bishop, Charles Dougherty, James Handiboe, Elias Peak, Jeremiah Reardon, Clarence Cross). I'm not really worried about these guys for now (though if someone has any of them I'd be very interested in the scan!). Of the 104 with photos, I have tracked down images of 101. One of the three I'm missing is Len Stockwell, who appears in the N172 and N321 sets. I've checked various sources and can't seem to find an image of these cards so I was hoping someone here might be able to send a scan?

Incidentally, the other two players I'm looking for are Ed Mayer and Andrew "Frank" Harrington. I don't believe either had baseball cards, but I figured I'd throw those names out there on the odd chance someone has a team photo with one of these guys on it.

Thank you very much for any help you can provide. Have a great day!

There's a copy of the N172 Len Stockwell card in the new Old Judge book. Because he played in the California League his card may very well be unique.
