It says consignors are paid 30 days or less. It took you guys about 7 months to pay me on the items I consigned to you. Why was that? I never got a real explanation on that.

Fair question but you need your full name in your post. Who are you?

Default MEARS Auctions

Nate,

I am not sure of of your exact situation, but I will review and get back to you. What I can state for the public record is that once we collect the money, consignors are paid in 30 days. No exceptions. If it took you more than that, that was a instance where the winning bidder did not honor his bid in a timely manner.

Once we collect the money, consignors are immediately paid. Regards, Troy R. Kinunen

I'll certainly vouch for Troy and for Mears...

They are probably the quickest-paying auction house in the biz... Well, right up there with REA (as far as my experience goes, anyway )

I met Troy, and consigned to MEARS, for the first time this summer. Two separate auctions - a Cobb bat - and a Ruth bat. Both times I was paid within two weeks of auction.

I consigned with them and have been happy so far. I haven't gotten my check yet but it's still under 30 days, so I'm sure ill get it soon.

I talked with your billing department(Chawnett) several times that told me time after time that the check had been mailed. Stupid me, I kept buying items from you guys while you deducted the money from my earnings. I kept calling her about where the check was and she would say it was either shipped to the wrong address or lost. She re-issued me a check about 4 times and I never received one. She told me she would email me tracking numbers for the checks. Never received one. Then after 7 months, I called and left you guys a voicemail that if I didnt receive my money in a week, then I would have to contact my attorney. The check came 3 days later.

Not trying to cause a stir, but if you guys promote paying consignors within 30 days, then you should probably do it. Me having to wait 7 months and having to throw out an attorney to finally get my money is a little much, especially considering how much money I have spent with you guys in the past. I never received an apology/explanation and have spent $0 with you guys since. It is what it is.

Default Mears

Nate,

I was unaware of any ongoing problems that you may have had. Whether it was an incorrect address or any other mistake, you should have been paid immediately. I apologize for any difficulties you may have had regarding your consignment. Complaints such as you have voice are unacceptable within my organization and I can assure you that I was unaware of any problems. Ultimately, I am the one that is responsible, so if you would like to discuss any options that would make this situation right, I am more than willing to talk. I am not offering this because you took this public, but because it is the right thing to do. If there are any other MEARS customers reading this that have issues with my company, please contact me direct at 414 828 9990. I can assure you that no complaints are acceptable and I guarantee to fix any wrongs.

With that being said, we have a new, full time employee in charge of accounts payable that is doing a fine job. Our former employee is no longer with the company and our new staff is expected to work for the consignors to make there experience with MEARS pleasant.

Although it has always been our policy of paying consignors collected funds in 30 days or less, it is something we have been promoting heavily with our new staff and continue to do. I apologize to you Nate for the difficulties you had with your consignment and will do anything in my power to correct this situation.

Regards,

Troy R. Kinunen
