Default bat help

Can anyone tell me what it means when there is no model number or anything on the knob and or barrel of a players bat? It’s a Louisville slugger Bat. I’m very new to bats and I’ve never seen this before.

Take a picture straight down of the knob. Is there anything stamped into it? Also a picture of the center logo.

I am just learning bats also after a fellow member got me hooked on them.

I’m in the process of discussing purchasing so unfortunately I don’t have it in front of me to take those pictures. I just have what he sent me.

Default bats

Saw that bat on Ebay I believe. I am of the opinion that it was produced later than his playing days.....possibly for shows that he might have been appearing at. If I remember, seller had another one as well which for similar but for a different player. You can email me if you have specific questions in the future...will be happy to answer if I am able.

Can't see under center label for markings but the 2 in the center of the 125 indicates 1961-64....but again---could have been reproduced.

1975 and earlier model # is on knob
1976 and later model # moved to barrel

Single digit on knob or underlined 125 on label means store model.

Yes, it’s on EBay. Trying to see if he will go lower on his price....it doesn’t seem to have much age to it in my opinion.

I’ll definitely message you sometime, I don’t work so I have a lot of free time most days.

I've compared the pictured bat, with the pictures in Vince Malta's book, and based on the combination of what looks like a "C-16" centerbrand (1961-1964), and a "P-10" Powerized (1964 only), I would say your bat looks like it was made in 1964.

I appreciate your help, I assume it’s not a game model based on no serial number on knob? Regardless it’s a neat bat
