Default Does anyone use SportscardLink?

Posted By: Jason L

I have been checking it out this week, but I was wondering if it has gone stale/dormant?
One card I bought last year was only just recently removed from the listings

Any reviews from those who've used it recently?
thanks,
Jason

note: please don't take this as an effort to bash the site or anything...the more places to buy, the better!

I've never bought/sold with them but have visited them on and off for at least a year. Items lingering on display there have always seemed to last forever. I've seen "Sale Pending" on the same cards for months and months and months -- must look good to potentials customers.

only 1 card from them, they are nice on the phone and ship quickly but they need to do some updating of their web site.

One thing i did not know at the time was they charge 3% buyers fee so be prepared to add that to price.

I bought this Hornsby from them last summer and it was fine. They took a few days longer to ship than I expected but it was very smooth on the whole. I did notice, however, that they had the card listed as "sale pending" for at least a month after I had it in my hands.

Josh is a really good guy, and his office is right up the street from me. He is one of the biggest comic book dealers in the country, and the sports department is just a small part of his operation. He always has an eye out for a good Batman or Fantastic Four, that I am sure of.

Josh is a nice guy and totally legit businessman. As Barry said his original and main business is Comics. The Sportscards are a new venture for him using a similar platform to his Comicslink site. I know he has been looking to add some staffing on the card side and that may explain the slow updating of the website info. He's a solid citizen. (I suppose I should disclose that I have acted as his legal counsel in several business transaction over the past 5 or so years!).

Actually I think I bought a comic book from his website about a year ago. All went easy. I don't think the integrity of his card site was in question, just its upkeep.
