Default Jefferson Burdick question

I know this isn't baseball, but need the vintage experts. I recently purchased a few of those awesome actress cards from the 19th century. I know they aren't really valuable, but in top shape. They will be offered soon here.

Why Im writing tho is this, I have an actress card that has the "met museum" stamp and a gold small stamp that says " gift of JP Burdick".Plus, it has some pencil notations on front and back, name of lady, etc? Now, does anyone have ANY cards w the Burdick stamp, of this actress or any sports issue? I don't know if Ive got something stolen, or a souvenir or ??? Any help would be appreciated.

Scott.

Scott-
There is a thread on the Net54 Nonsports forum that discusses this type of stamp. I believe the consensus was that Burdick traded/gave away some duplicates, stamping them first. Nice find!

Here is one of the threads from the NS side. There might be some pictures in the incredible gallery there as well.

Scott.
Are you referring to the N245 Actors & Actresses set? I know Burdick had close to 2000 of those in his collection. You want to talk monster sets, the
N245 is estimated at 3000+ cards and counting.

You might also see the Metropolitam Museum of Art stamp on the back of cards out there too and 'gift of Jefferson Burdick'. Not sure if these were also dupes that were maybe sold at the Met or given away or what but they are out there. Have a couple in my collection............

These are a few examples in my collection. Actor Edwin Booth is the brother of John Wilkes Booth. No Burdick stamps unfortunately:
