Default E121 Series of 80 Back Variety

I'd never heard of this back variety until the Legacy Auction. Does anyone have any insight about this? And also the incidence of this variety?

Default E121 thread

Here is a thread on the E121 Series of 80 backs, with a lot of good info provided by Rhett.

That thread makes me sad every time I see it. But on the upside, it contains a pic of the -only- HW Rip Collins card Ive ever even seen.

Jeff,

The E121-80 ends in "eighty" back is not that scarce. I am not an expert on this set but in my limited experience maybe 1 in 10 E121-80s sport this back. I personally will pay a small premium for it--perhaps 10-20%.
