So the card went for $38,600
I'm sure the "consignor" has already backed out
What a joke

Shill bidding occurred in that auction. What happened to the zero feedback bidder that had so many bids plastered in the auction??

There was a bid retraction of $38,700 near the end of the auction. I am assuming that was the shill bidder. I think when you retract one bid they all get retracted and don't appear anymore.

There is no reason to retract a bid with so little time left. Buyer's can't retract their bid. Why should the sellers be allowed to? The zero was retracted with less than an hour to go. That auction was bogus from the get go. That seller should be banned from Ebay.

Something I’ve learned over the last year and a half is a large number of people don’t care about the truth.
This is just another example of that. As long as they believe it is what it says it is, well that’s good enough for them.

So true. Sad.

This was not a "retraction", it was a "cancellation", meaning the bidder did not do this through their account. I am assuming the seller canceled this 0 fdbk bidder's bids, but ebay could have done so also for some administrative reason.

The underbidders top bid was exposed though, and wouldn't you know it, someone came along and TIED his top bid. The whole auctions reeks.....just like Battlefield does.

Whomever said "worst seller on ebay" might be right. But the Acofind person is right next to them. Both have years and years of committing fraud on ebay.

They wouldn't have kept the card for 9 years and just now decided to sell it. Are they receiving consignments now? Makes sense since they get the best prices on ebay. Eventually.

For reference, what are the PSA 5 Topps Mantles going for?
