Maybe your picture of the Gehrig did the trick! It almost went for $400k! Though compared to the last big sale at Memory Lane a few years back it almost looks identical to their 5...at less than half the price. You can really see the tougher grading by PSA these days at work since it was supposedly found and graded in the past few months. Looking through other 4's they look really a lot rougher than this 4.5. It definitely looks more comparable to a few 5's in the PSA database than the 4's that have had rough corners still. What do others think? Is a new 4.5 what would have got a 5 in the past?

This Aaron piece is simply amazing. Maybe not esthetically amazing, but what a piece of history. I was bidding but didn't win. This is a historic museum piece. Congrats to the winner.

This one may stick in my craw for a while. Amazing.

The Cincinnati Reds pieces in Lelands were incredible! The GU caps, including an Edd Roush cap were quite popular. In the end, after exceeding my budget, I had to turn to eBay for a GU Eugenio Suarez cap from Wade Miley's no-hitter.

I was going to take a run at a couple of those caps, but the top bids blew me out of the water. The mid-30s Reds cap went for over $8,000, and the 1939 Harry Craft cap sold for nearly $3,000.

I didn't get any emails mentioning that bidding was ending and mistakenly thought it ended tonight. Sat down at my computer to find that I had missed the ending, and I definitely would have placed nice bids on at least a couple of items (relative to their final sale price).

Wish they would have sent reminders on Saturday.

Oh well... if anyone won the Jackie Robinson Barnstorming Tour photo or the Dodgers/Maglie lineup cards, I'd love to be in touch.

Default I was happy with my pickups

First ever wins in a major auction, and nice additions for my low-grade T206 Hall of Fame Pitchers Set:
