Bad scans, but a good return policy so you can't go too wrong if its not to your liking.

Aside from being hand cut/trimmed, it looks fake to me. I don't see the line between the white border and the orange. It may be a bad scan, but I would be wary. Reminds me of the $300,000 Honus.

That's Conchy Jim from the Keys!.. He's a good guy. Talked with him a year or two ago. Very friendly and had some nice vintage in the past. His photos always $uck. Good merchandise, not to worry you've got a genuine Chance.

Hi Robert,
You out snipped me for the card, so yes, it's real. The scan is horrible, and the top border may be trimmed, but it's still a deal at that price. Be well Brian

My first impression was reprint but I have never seen or heard of a Pied 460 fact 42 back.

Did I mention it's my birthday.

happy birthday lee.

i agree, i've never seen a reprint with a piedmont factory 42 back. that being said, i really can't see the factory number on the scan. if it is 42, it is real.

I have had a bunch of these F42 cards and that Chance is real. Good luck with it. It is an undervalued rare back. No respect becasue it is piedmont.

A Piedmont 460/42 back is a legit back and very tough to find. Not Drum tough, but tougher than most. I'd guesstimate around a Carolina Brights level.

This card is legit.....and here are two reasons to "back" (a pun) this up.....

The Yellow Chance is a candidate for a P460/42 back (not all 460's qualify).

And, all the P460/42 backs I have seen appear printed with a lighter shade of blue
(such as this one). I don't know why this is, and perhaps someone can explain this.
A "faker" would have not have known this and printed the back with a darker blue
color.

I also have the same Chance with the Fact 42 back. I can post a scan for comparison if you'd like but I agree that the card is legitimate.

Hi Ted,
While I agree that most Piedmont 42's do appear to have been printed with lighter ink, but not all of them. I have 2 copies which are the same if not darker than the normal color. Be well Brian

Here are the scans of my Chance Fact. 42 card. Got the card last year in a large grouping of mostly T209-2's and T210's. There were about 40 T206's in the lot and about 15 had the factory 42 back including 2 Chance yellow portraits and a Frank Baker.
