Default Tonyetrade Thread?

Hi all,

I saw a thread about Tonyetrade late last night in which someone was pointing out his Cobb and Ruth cards on ebay. The thread is gone this AM. Was I dreaming? Anyone else see it?

Thanks,
Greg

Probably something to do with all the amazing cards he has for sale right now. Dang!

Sounds like a conspiracy story I am unaware of.

Jay,
It seemed innocent enough. The person was asking about the Cobbs and Ruths he has listed.

I started it, but then deleted it after I saw he had a t214 speaker I didn’t want attention drawn to. But I am impulsive and I bought it (it’s very rare and may be a 1 of 1); will post in April pickups once I get it. So, I guess thread back on, and yes, Tony Trade has listed some amazing Wagner and Cobb cards; not sure about Ruths.

TonyeTrade just created a new website for his cards. He lists them on his site for the same price as he has them on eBay. Over the last few days he listed a bunch of cards on eBay. He listed one card that I need for a set I'm working on. I called him Thursday to see what he would sell it for through his site since there would not be any eBay fees. He said he would refund 5% of the price. I ended up buying the card on eBay and used the 15% off promotion yesterday.

After you deleted everything in it I must have deleted the whole thread. Those kinds of threads happen frequently and if there is nothing in them I usually delete them and don't think much about it.

I am sure I could have done better on price going direct through website (though his stuff is still very expensive), but I saw it late at night (just listed) and I am impulsive and didn’t want it to get away (even though I am probably the only idiot who wanted an expensive t214 card).

You have to buy rare cards when you can, because you may never see them again.

That is a great pick up, not one of one however. I saw another a couple of months ago but don't recall final price.

I know of another copy in a large collection that has been there for a while. Certainly a scarce card though.
