LOL on the topic but missed the most obvious one: creasing a card putting it into a holder.

I'm fairly certain I don't want to know why, but I would love to know who were the two who voted for dropping cards in the toilet.

That may have voted for the toilet option. It wasn't him, but his wife almost dropped one in the can. Long story, I guess. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure why he even told me

.

Letting your girlfriend/wife/partner handle your cards needs to be an option. I won't go into details, but I will tell you that my "mishap" involved a girlfiend (ex), and a horrendous mishandling of a CJ Tinker

Why would anybody bring a valuable baseball card anywhere in the vicinity of a toilet? Do the biographies on the back make for good reading on the john?

About the closest I come to taking a baseball card to the toilet is bringig an auction catalog with me. Speaking of which, hey Barry, when's your next one coming out?

Fred- I am currently working on one for November. After taking a six month hiatus I'm back to work. It should be a good one (this is not a solicitation, just answering a board member's question).

I want everyone to know that Barry solicited me to ask that question so he could have free advertisement. As we agreed I get to drop the buyers premium for this next auction, right Barry? Just kidding

Or something to that effect. And your 12 pound turkey is on its way, federal express. Just my way of saying thank you.

My cousin and I used to be total pyromaniacs. We'd burn cards of disliked players, until my aunt made us quit after we wrecked one of her flower pots during one of our ceremonial cardboard cremations. Letting my gerbils chew them up was another favored method of destruction.

At one time or another, I've been guilty of all of them except dropping them in the toilet.

Jay

I love pinatas. You get to beat the crap of something and get rewarded with candy.

I responded that I glued cards into an album. And I did. It was a '53 Topps near set. But after a day or so, I changed my mind (see - I ain't all dumb). Fortunately I used a glue called muclidge which was a thick mollasses type adhesive, which is slow to dry. So, they peeled out of the album nicely, with little damage.

So, I returned them into a pile, as I had always kept them. While in the pile, the glue dried completely.

See - I ain't all bright, either.
