I'm criticizing what I consider a somewhat less than honest write up about the card, as well as some skepticism of the consistency of application of standards around how they award their stickers.

It's a great looking card, but just wasn't the right one for me. That's ok. Looks like it found the right home.
Oh, I didn’t take it as criticism. I do agree the descriptions tend to round up dramatically, and that’s why I don’t read them. But I think many auctioneers tend to romance the attributes, a practice I’m sure the consignor appreciates.

In this day and age of high resolution scans, less talk is definitely more. I get it when explaining memorabilia where the story is important and people may not be familiar with the item. With cards honestly I don't need to know how cool or amazing or gorgeous or anything else it is. High quality scan front and back and silence.

Good idea. I think that the Young, Johnson and Mathewson portraits have all begun to climb.

I should have upgraded my Matty when I had the chance.

Congrats. I think you got a great price for it, frankly. After paying $2,250 for my 7.0, that is.

So you were the one who got that card. Good for you. It really is a tough card in high grade.

I thought that Ramly Johnson went for a very fair price. Wish I had the money to bid on it.

Agreed. The T206 portrait craze definitely makes it feel like a much better deal. That Ramly WaJo was sweet, but I dropped out pretty early on.

The Ramly was the freakin steal of the auction. It went for 2600 less than REA got for it.
