Default Santa knocked it out of the park

Secret Santa rocked it this year. It will be displayed proudly as Ernie was the best. Met him at Cubs camp in 2007. Thank you so much Santa

I believe I have 40-41 prewar Oscar Stanage cards. I think I got the hoarding under control, but am only looking for one more.

Met him with my son and a couple of friends in 90, then again in 91 and 92 at Ho Ho Kam in Mesa for Spring training, He remembered us in '92. Truly a great guy. My son, now grown, went on to work in the Cubs front office. Said he was still a great guy. My son was actually a Cubs representative who "carried" his casket at his funeral. An honor he still relishes, even though he is now with the NFL.

I know Joey, his son, from Cubs camp. Another great guy in my opinion. Ernie was a childhood hero of mine and to meet him in person was definitely a highlight. He had me call my wife from camp just so he could talk to her. How many HOF players would have you do that. Such a wonderful man.
