Larry,

They looked good to me, the corners have natural wear and the colors on some don't look quite right but it is probably his scanner settings. All of them have rounded corners and very minimal if any creases, but that really shouldn't raise a red flag either. The one I questioned the most is his J.J. Clarke card:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-1911-T206-J...-/110576997974

I'm assuming some 19th century kid decided to use an eraser on it. If so, then it's okay since the kid didn't know any better and that card has always looked funky to me. He has two Clarke (erase variation) cards listed, but I'm assuming he listed the same card twice. As far as thickness goes, your computer resolution is way better then mine .

I will add that if those cards are reprints, then we are all in big trouble.

Lovely Day...

They look good to me. I know what you mean about looking "thick", but I just think it is the lighting he is getting on the image. The font and color of the player's name look legite.

Larry,

By the way, thank you for the thread. Post like this might not get alot of attention from the old 20th century kids on this board, but I think they are important. We should always be questioning raw card(s) on eBay and this forum is a great place to debate it. Plus, some 21th century T206 kid might learn something in the process.

Lovely Day...

Those cards may well be ok. And we should question all cards, not just the raw ones.

Look at this auction. Seller has a 75% feedback score. Also read down to the bottom of the page. : )

The Cobb is a definite reprint. The 51 Bowman Mantle you need a telescope to tell. Honestly, with a scan that far away, I would be suspecious.

I take it this is what you mean by reading the bottom of the page on the Cobb auction:

On Aug-17-10 at 10:24:25 PDT, seller added the following information:

This auction is ended. Please do not bid anymore because you will not be bidding on anything. I can't end the auction because it is too late but please understand that you are bidding on nothing and the winner will not have to pay for anything.

Considering (as of now) it has 5 days left so I don't get why it's too late to end the auction, which sucks because I was really looking forward to the opportunity to bid on nothing and not have to pay for it.

How can anyone have a feedback score of 75% and continue to sell on ebay??????? They threaten sellers who have feedback average scores of 4.4 out of 5 and allow 75%ers? Wow....

Low performance scores mostly just result in a loss of "discounts" on fees.

since his overall score is only 36, 75% while not good isn't horrible. Also remember that they only count feedbacks less than 12 months old in that percentage so he's 94% by the old method.
He's got only two negatives. One looks to be from someone that didn't actually read the shipping details, the other is from a new ebayer, and they're notoriously quick on the negatives for the slightest reason, in this case apparently a minor shipping error that got fixed, and a lack of understanding transit time.
