Default How many are in a complete t205 set?

Im talking the basic set, w/o all the crazy variations, etc. SMR list 209 cards and everyone else seems to have 208. Was there a new card/change in variation? Im new to the t205 game, just have a few beatup commons...

It all depends on what you consider just "basic" without all the "crazy variations"? Are you looking for just one card of each person (regardless) and not both mouth open/closed, left ear/both ear types or one team only? If that is the case, it would be lower than 209 (around 199). As the basic set mentioned on the SMR has different poses or team name differences.

What is card #209? Why does smr have 209 as a set and all the checklists have 208? What is card 209 per smr?

I did a front only set, real beaters. It was fun and not too expensive...but as I said, I have some real arf arfs in my set. It keeps you away from the expensive and not real interesting (IMO) variations of Latham, Willhem, Matty, Hobby, etc.

Turner,

I think it should be 209 to include the frontal difference of both Red and White Dougherty, not just one. Also, I wonder why they didn't include "T" not crossed from Otis Crandall since they include every other frontal difference.
