Default removing sharpie from old photo?

Good evening all,

Does anyone know if sharpie can be removed from a vintage photo if it is not glossy? I have seen videos showing how dryerase marker can be run over sharpie and then wiped away, but it looks like it is only done on more recent/glossy photos. Any info/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Andrew

PEC-12 might remove it. Buy a bottle and their special wipes. Hard wiping dry will just damage the emulsion.
