Get your spelling correct, you'RE a shame! Haha, fixed the link, thanks Ted.

Dylan, that is the case for now. T206's are pretty attainable though, I will bounce back in a few months. I am keeping a select few though.

Isn't this at least the 2nd time you've dumped your set?

Trae,

The only reason I ask is because your passion for the set is obvious and genuine. As such, it just seems odd to me that you would choose to dump your set not once but twice. To some degree, we all have shifting collecting interests, but again, given your strong interest in T206 it is surprising to me that you'd dump once, let alone twice.

I'm sure there's a method to your madness, but if you're ever going to complete the set, I recommend digging in without ever letting a card go unless you've got a better one in hand, or are trading up for a truly exceptional example.

To each his own and good luck!

Paul

Firstly I'd like to note the Elberfeld is still available. thanks to everyone who has purchased cards so far!

Paul, thank you for explaining yourself. I truly appreciate it. I appreciate the kind words as well. I definitely love the set, but I feel like I have a lifetime to complete it... and a lot of the fun in it for me is purchasing and receiving the cards. I won't be upset if I don't ever complete the set. I've loved every card that's come through my hands and the experience of handling so many is cool in itself!

The T206 set as we all know is very attainable in almost all conditions and budgets. That being said I don't have any sort of attachments to my cards... only one - the first one I ever purchased. I made the mistake of selling it like 5 years ago. Then a few months ago I had the opportunity to buy it back so I did. I'll never sell that one again.. it's the only sentimental card in my collection. I am also keeping my horizontal subset for now because my better half thinks they're cool.

I have some things I need to take care of financially, and I don't care to say much more than that.

Thanks again

Trae....I don't think explanations are needed...but on a selfish note maybe it will be nice to have a few months to grab them up before you get back into it....your pace is wayyyy above mine..ha ha...good luck

Well your not the only one facing financial problems. Im having to let much of my small collection go due to losing my job and ofcourse still having tuition/living payments. Its tough but im trying to hold onto the most difficult cards and everything else i sell i can pickup later if needed. Being a T206 set collector makes it pretty easy to sell and rebuy. Being a type card collector and only seeing certain sets let alone certain players once every six months makes it a whole lot harder to part with those cards.

...I agree -- especially personal financial issues. I've got two kids, a mortgage, car and student loans, etc. and the cards would go a long time before I'd sell the house!
