Default Introduce Myself

Posted By: Phillip Marks

I have been familiar with Net 54 for many years although I did not utilize
this site.

Many of you know me as a major show dealer for 30 years Buying and Selling
vintage autographs. I have a huge inventory and I can be found at most major
shows. Index Cards, Album Pages, GPC's and Vintage signed cards are what I
primarily buy and sell.

I am open to want lists but I will say that it is easier to see me at a show.

I am a supporter of PSA/DNA, JSA and SGC and I help edit the autograph section
of the SMR Magazine. My ad can be found in there in every issue.

I am an avid collector of antique bicycling cards and autographs. I know that very
little of that winds up on this site but if anyone has anything please let me know.

Regards,

Phil Marks

Phil, welcome aboard. This is the only cycling item I have. It's not for sale but thought you might enjoy looking at it. I don't have any info on the guys except the middle cyclist, Sanger, was also on one of the Duke cabinets.

Thanks Carlton. First, Dan needs to cover his ears. My dad and I would make a trip to Nebraska each year to tour the flea markets. I found this in the first store we came to and picked it up for around $100. The dimensions are 17x21 including mount and was taken by Ed Dowes or Eddowes Bros. NY. I also remember seeing three penny farthings during this trip, something you never see. I found this on ebay in 2001 but it was a later photo.

Carlton are you thinking of trading that Wichita window display bronze or the Spalding football advertisement? happy.gif

Dan, if it's any consolation we don't make the trip anymore and you ended up with the two Nebraska baseball items I found. I think I found more sports items in that first trip than a year in Kansas.

Dan, I've never heard of that one. I'm guessing it's in the northeast though. How many dealers set up there?

Phil, Welcome !!!

It's always been a pleasure to stop by your booth at the past few National shows in Cleveland and Chicago to purchase vintage autographs.

Clint, it is up there in the Northeast corner...I've not been before, but I've heard from many locals that it's huge.

Richard--I spotted 2 typos in your post:

it's "yankees" and "fillies" (no capitals)
