Default Bender miscut question

Bottom name is horribly miscut. Top has feint trace of only the comma. Would seem to me that there would be a partial name at the top slightly larger than the bottom name. How was this miscut done? Card measures 1-7/16 x 2-5/8.

Looks full size and completely normal to me. Nice card.

Well, it could have been at the top of the printing sheet, which would explain why there is no partial name at top...

It being the correct size, I assumed it would have names at top and bottom. Never seen one before that had name at the bottom only chopped off. Anyway thanks for the help. I like freaky stuff.

I drew an arrow showing the comma at top, and put a red line going down the card. As you can see the comma at top lines up with the comma at bottom. Or does it? If this card was at the top of the sheet, why is there a comma only at the top? If it wasn't at the top of the sheet, then why no name at top & bottom?

I agree that there is a comma and part of the name at the top. I think the bottom of this card might be trimmed, it looks like it is a little concave, which would mean that there was more of the name at the bottom than there currently is.

Card measures perfectly. Also, under high magnification I can't see any other letters at top.

I underlined where I see the bottom of the letters right before the comma. The scan is a little grainy but they are there. Also, T206 have a lot of variation in their size, so this one could have been bigger than standard size and then trimmed/worn down a bit from that. It can also be tough to get a precise measurement on a card with a diamond cut so that muddies the waters a bit too.

The name and team on your Bender looks tighter to the border than
average and the one above it on that sheet would be the same so this
card would have to be oversized to have the name at the top.

Yep, you're right. I thought those marks were stains. Now if only someone would tell me, it Honus Wagner's name at the top.

Wouldn't that be fun? I have long dream of finding a card with a misregistration that had part of Wagner on it.

It wouldn't be Honus' name if it were to be Wagner, not with a PB back.

It's a very normal card. Bender name at top (though just a sliver) and Bender at bottom. Just a bit miscut but nothing special (still a nice card of course).

A member had this Oldring listed on ebay. I was going to bid on it but it was

The comma dips below the name/team on T206 cards...
