Default Show & Tell: Autographed Pre-War Cards

It's been awhile since we've had one of these. Anyone got anything new they care to share? I'll show my partial T201 signed set (okay, that's a bit of a stretch)! Show 'em if ya got 'em...

Sweet T's guys, can't wait to see some more pre-war stuff.

I added most/all these in the past year, don't think I've posted them here yet w/ exception of my signed grail (Mr. Joe D)...

Question related to this: When did autograph collecting on cards really start to become popular? You can find the 1933 Goudeys, but I'm wondering how many of those were signed back in the day as opposed to acquired later when cards started taking off. Several of those players were still alive in the 1990s and 2000s.

I'd be interested in knowing when collecting autographs on cards really became a thing. Obviously, signed T-206s are pretty rare. My guess is that it wasn't until a candy/gum issue since those were really geared toward kids.

There's something awesome about this autograph...it's just so perfect in my mind, even though I don't really collect autographed cards. By the way, that Joe D. is insane! The person who slabbed that thing should be fired though!

For the most part, T206s were signed in the 1960's-early 1970's I believe.....

Yeah, that's my sense of it. I'm guessing that very few people were collecting autographs on cards at the time T206s were out.

I'm wondering when it became a thing people really began to collect/seek them. Maybe in the 1950s with Topps/Bowman cards.

Thanks for the compliment Dan... and great T207 Carey Chris! That's such a great looking card regardless, but very cool to see a signed one.

Since I'm hoping to see what else may be out there, I'll bump with a few more (many coming from a board member).

Some great posts so far.

As many know, I collect the 1934 goudey set exclusively. In the past year, I was able to add 3 new ones to my set and am now sitting at 79 of 96. I also added a couple of doubles to trade or sells for ones I need. If anyone has any PLMK.

The 2 to trade/sell

I've asked this elsewhere, but I can't get anyone to respond. I am not sure if this is signed by Steen. I know the letter is handwritten by him, but I just can't say one way or the other if the writing on the card is a match or not. Seems close to me, what do you guys think? Will anyone please give me a guess? Sorry, I hope I don't high-jack your thread.
