Default The one that DIDN'T get away...

Recently there was a post about cards we regretted letting go of.....

http://net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=208203

Within the last couple of weeks I've made a large baseball card purchase. It was
my intention to sell off other parts of my collection to pay for this new purchase.
I recently listed my E95 set on the B/S/T thread with every intention of selling it.

http://www.psacard.com/psasetregistr...t.aspx?s=43306

I was also in contact with my favorite AH discussing possible consignment
arrangements. As luck would have it, it did not sell and I managed to find a way
to save my set from going on the consignment block. Today I'm glad I did this.

Is there any card or set that you wanted to sell, but are glad you kept it after all?

R314 Joe DiMaggio--almost sold it 4 years ago, but then realized I'd had it for 20 years or so, and whether it is or is not a rookie (PSA had been grading them as 1936 issues, and the portrait photo depicts him in not a Yankee but San Francisco Seals uniform, while the standard catalog and SGC has it as a 1937 issue), I'm glad I decided to keep it.

Interesting thread,

Larry
