Default Brockelman and Luckey Auctions - Man was I LUCKEY!

Last night, I have 12 items I want, I finish up family time, honker down with a nice large Ketel 1 and G2 Gatorade and prepare for battle!

If I am on the fence at a bid amount, with a splash of Vodka in me, I always choose to bid.

So I am currently winning my 12 items at 9pm, I decide to go up and watch a little TV for a few hours, then come back down to duke it out on my items in prime time.

Well..... needless to say at 53 and a few pops in me, I surrendered to the Z Monster!

Woke up at 4am, said darnit! and didn't bother to look until just now and I have won 11 of my 12 items!!

YAY! Man is that some GOOD LUCKE!

Lost the Whiz Bang Lefty Grove, that was it so I was very Happy

LUCKE of the Irish I guess

Yea the G2 which is supposed to be less sugar and sodium

I used to mix it with red bull so I figured I will replace some electrolytes instead.

I'm sure that when recipes for mixed drinks and results of auction bidding are correlated, useful information for a lot of board members will make this thread a hit. Personally I won seven lots, but will not tell you what I was drinking.

Great Saturday!

Spent my entire bonus at a show that morning when I came upon a beautiful PSA Satchell Paige I just could not live without, came home to finding my ebay bucks certificate and that I had won two fantastic press photos at the starting bid price and got them free with the cert, than jumped in on two small lots before bed and won them both.

Here's to hoping my luck continues for a bit, I was on a auction losing streak for the past month!

Oh, and thanks to Griffin Claw brewery for my fuel for the day.

Congrats, Dan. You batted .917 for the auction. Not bad at all.

Put in my max bid early, and hit the local watering hole.

Woke up this morning:

Max bid held ---->

Bud and Turkey ---->

Fun, fun, Scott

Yeah, gatorade is chemically engineered to start absorbing into your system almost instantly. When it takes vodka along for the ride, hold on tight!

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Strive to be happy.

Yes and sadly it takes a way too much to get me hammered now a days.....

I wish I could cop a buzz off of half a beer

Good to see by the posts that I am not the only one that has a few drinks to tackle an auction!

It took a little while but came away with Dom and Vince the DeMaggio brothers in the zeenut series.

Some day I'm going to meet Scott and Leon.

I had a fun time after 11.

thanks again,

I also could've bid less in last night's auction, but I admit I had a couple of "gatorades."

I don't drink when bidding (I'm a lousy typist sober; drunk I'd probably type $10.00 as $1000) but when I was a young 'un and one of the grandkids got a cold, my grandma would give us Jameson in ginger ale to clear it up. It worked every time.

Dan my friend, I hear ya. The tolerance level is way too high for us virile 50-somethings. These days I need half a bottle of gin to develop a good buzz-

I had had a little less than that last night when I put in my final bids. Won the 09 Obak Gandil and the lot of 12 09s for what I thought were great prices. My gin and I were ready to go higher but we didn't have to!

Cheers,
Tim,

Just a couple of IPAs for me but that was enough to get in a bidding war for the T212-1 McCredie. Also won the E103 Leach and T206 Wheat EPDG.
