Default 1914 Cracker Jack trimmed?

I only have a few 1914 CJs so I'm not very experienced with them. I picked up this Wheat a few months ago and it measures 2 x 2 15/16 (maybe a hair over). It's slightly shorter than the others I own. Should I assume it's trimmed or is there a slight size variance with these cards? Thanks!

Hey Justin - I'm assuming you meant 2 1/4 x 2 15/16? Im sure you have some bigger ones in there as well. I have a Meyers cards that is 3/16" too big.

There is a slight variance allowed with CJs, some are big and some are small and I definitely wouldn't assume that's trimmed. Look at the edges and borders, there is very little tilt on that card...very nice. There are some funny cuts that go with CJs as well when opposing borders aren't parallel, etc.

Yes you're right, it's 2 1/4 x 2 15/16. The others I have appear to be the same size so I wasn't sure about the top edge on this one. Thanks for the info!

Great looking card. I am in agreement with Steven on this one. Also, I still don't think detecting trimming is an exact science, but that is for another thread.
