Exciting game to be at last night. Got home late and didn't get much more than 3 hours sleep but I think I got my money's worth out of that one

I just knew that one day, one day, I would have a reason to post this photo

A signed Basketball from the 1998 Princeton team.

Young.jpg

Captain Chris Young front and center.

Just to right is Gabe Lewullis, who made the back door lay-up to beat defending NCAA champs in round one. Below right is Nate Walton (the not so great son of Bill), and below that is Joe Scott (assistant coach, did a decent job at Air Force for a few years). Then John Thompson III (also assistant coach, now, of course, Georgetown)

It was sad that Young was not allowed to play basketball for PU his senior year. This was do to him signing a major league contract. The NCAA would have allowed it, but the Ivy League said no.

(Owned two season seats for ~15 years, four rows behind PU bench. So close you could hear Pete Carril's teeth grind, and see the steam coming out his ears. Also funny, the Governor's office had seat four rows behind me.)
