Default Card Slabs

Where can I get slabs similar to the ones that graded cards have?

I'm a rookie to card collecting so I have no idea but I have a few ungraded ones that I would like to put in slabs. I like the look of the slabs that many of the graded cards have that I see on this site, as opposed to ones with screws in them or the soft sleeves.

Is it even possible to get them anywhere?

If this question comes off totally ridiculous then I apologize...I looked for awhile around the web and couldn't find quite what I was looking for.

Those graded card slabs are sealed and I don't know of any open & close versions for ungraded cards.
They do make magnetic cases now. Basically look like the screw down cases.

Thanks for replying.

I kind of like the look of the Ultra Pro Magnetic One Touch card holders. I see some are 35PT and ive seen some as much as 360 PT. What is PT? Is that the size of the card?

That's the card thickness. Normal cards should be fine in 35pt, the thick cards with equipment bits in them or some of the thick autographed ones need the higher Pt numbers.

The magnetic ones look a little cleaner, eliminating the glaring eyesore below.

Here's an example of some "slabs" that are somewhat similar in appearance to the ones that grading companies use. The Nicklaus is in a PSA slab so you can see the comparison. I used them for my 81 Donruss Golf autographed set. They are called ProTech Mini-slabs, and I got them from:

Protech Products Inc
3970 Valley Blvd Unit A
Walnut, CA 91789

909 468-0706

Their email address was casepros@aol.com. The white "flips" were just stickers I got from Office Depot. A fairly inexpensive way to protect your cards.
