I thought the purpose of a "man cave" was to be a place of seclusion for men - or at least this man in this cave. Instead, as I was contemplating the important things in life; such as the order of importance for my pre-war goals, I get barged in on to answer questions about... well, I am not even sure.

In any event, now that my thinking is clear again, I also want to continue my Dummy Taylor back run.

My first goal is to set a goal.

Whew, now that's done, back to collecting sporadically like an idiot. Oh, and over-paying for everything. Can't forget that.

Since I mostly fire from the hip when stuff I like comes available, I'll mainly just aim to make more money in 2016 so I can buy more cards.

Long term want list items would include (but not limited to) the following--
N172 Delahanty
N162 Kelly
Zeenut Buck Weaver
Signed Clemente (any Topps, or Fleer)
Signed Jimmie Foxx (any playing era card)

... doubt I land any of those this coming year, but we'll see.

Default 2016 dream goals

Still looking for a worch ivy andrews...have been looking daily for 8 years now. I haven't even found a picture yet.

Also, looking for George c. Miller punched or whole andrews card. I imagine a complete one would be quite desirable by many collectors and investors.

Good luck to everyone in the new year.

Btw...did pick up one of my goals this year....a ty cobb check written out to emory university hospital. I attended emory and even worked in the hospital as a student.

1 -- Yes, I hope I may make AC as my first National. Being an old NJ guy, a visit to Frantic City would be nice. Especially to meet a few of my online Friends !!!

2 -- Like to think I can come close to finishing up my E90-1.

3 -- Upgrading T206 is a never ending scenario (even my TWO Wagners )

2015 was a good year, hope 2016 will be the same, if not better.

I'd like to add to the Zeenut collection, I'd like to add at least 100 cards I don't currently have and at least one major HOFer or rarity.

1915 Cracker Jack- I'm real close.
1934 Butterfinger ad cards, have ten right now.

Brian, thanks for confirming my long-held suspicion! Before you are institutionalized, please be so kind as to let me have your W504 card of Sam Rice.

Also hoping to acquire at least one of these Sam Rice cards: 1917 D350-2 Standard Biscuit, 1927 E210-2 York Caramel, 1928 F50 Harrington's Ice Cream, and 1931 W502.

And one or more of these 1910 E222 A.W.H. Caramel cards: Ison, Lipe, Revelle, and Ryan.

I have perhaps oversimplified my collecting goals for 2016.

My new goal is to get rid of stuff I no longer love/want...and replace it with things I Need!

Default Goals

If I complete all of my goals it will take some big assists!

Complete the E210-2 York Caramels (need just 6)
Add 40 cards to my just started OBAK (1910-11 only) sets
Add 20 cards to my stagnant E90-1 set.
Add one more 19th Century HOF player to my collection.
Lower my 1952-1980 Topps baseball run from current 191 needed to under 100.
Add 12 more SGC HOF cards to my collection.

But....Number one goal is always the same...organize my collection, get more or better scans done and audit my checklist/wantlist sheet. That way I can enjoy what I already have instead of worrying about continually accumulating more

Default 2016 Hobby Goals

I posted this on another forum recently. I'm keeping my goals simple this year.

1) My #1 goal is to commission a Graig Kreindler painting.

2) And my only other hobby goal is to pick up at least one really nice N173 OJ cabinet.

Anything else is just a bonus.

Good luck to everyone with their goals,

1. Add/upgrade 15-20 cards to my T206 150-350 series back run (I'm at 121/159)
2. Add to my stack of T207s and decide if I am going after the set or just getting my favorite poses.
3. Would like to find a T206 Young bare hand or Matty white cap with OM, Hindu, or EPDG back.
4. Add 3 new cards to my T205 back run.
5. Maybe this will be the year I find a really nice SGC 40-60 e95 Wagner to finish my set?
