Josh, do you have any idea as to why your V100's received an AUTH grade? Is it because they are trimmed? They look wonderful.

Neat acquisition Paul

I have tried to find Monte Stratton items. I only have a
handful. As a kid. I saw "The Monte Stratton Story"; it is
my favorite BB movie. I have a large Marque poster from
the movie featuring Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson. And,
of course the video tape of the movie. A couple of cards
and a White Sox team photo with Stratton and a cancelled
check.

My first n162 card is on its way. I couldn't help resist showing it before I got it. Sorry for the bad scan of it, but I don't have a better one yet.

I picked up a Roger Bresnahan T222 yesterday at the Shriner's Auditorium Show. Although it's trimmed on the top border, it still has decent presentation and great picture clarity.

The card on the right is a T220 silver border Jack Dempsey. The card on the left is an E211 York Caramel Max Schmeling:

I believe they were from a group sold on eBay that were hand-cut at one time according to the seller.

DS - Thanks. Both the V100's are handcut/trimmed. When I sent them to SGC I knew that they would only grade authentic. Nevertheless, I agree that they still look pretty nice "for the grade."

The picture doesn't do it justice. It's crisp and clear, down to the logo on the cap being sharp.

Somehow, the fact that Cutshaw is not from Victoria or Vancouver must have escaped me when bidding on this, as my obak collection seeps slowly upwards,

Just the result of some really sloppy registration by a novice
printer, or perhaps one on the midnite shift back in 1912.

My question is....they did have some kind of Quality Control,
so how did this one get past it ?
