Julie,

I'll pay a premium if the holder says the Julie Vognar Collection on the SGC labels!

..unfortunately, I'll be spent-out after Memory Lane and Mastronet. Why do these guys piggy-back their stuff so close together??

Julie

What didn't SGC like about your N162 Kelly?

so I can't edit the last post. They said they were...rebacked, I think. Lifson said sometimes SGC likes to take cards down a peg just to bug people. They were originally in PSA hlders (a lot of my cards they sent to PSA, rather than SGC, but--as Greg noticed---they don't usually break a set that way). Originally the Kelly was a 6 (as it is now)
a PSA 6 (as it is now) and the Brouthers was a 6, too-they lowered it a grade (I never thought it should be a 6 to begin with)...

M Macrae says SGC probably thought they were rebacked, because N162s were put together every whichaway, and there're about 100 different ways...

SGC makes some egregious errors, like PSA...you should see a gd-vg 34 Gopudfy Grove they graded a 50--or maybe a 60...

I would think if they were rebacked the grade would be lower than 6?

one of the possible implications is that psa does not know what they are doing. sgc has no reason to reject cards that are not altered or not grade the card accurately. they want to gain more market share not lose it.

...in fact, I'd be real happy if no one did. I don't think Mastro and Shoebox sell re=backed cards...when they were sent in to SGC (by REA) they were out of their holders, (which I always do to all cards i buy) so they had to be re-graded. Surprise! SGC calls them "rebacked." So REA sent them to PSA.

I've had nearly 200 cards graded by SGC and PSA, and I can assure you, neither of them knows what they're doing... REA did it, at their expense.
