This is the Special Post-National Edition of our monthly show-off post. All you guys must have returned from Chicago with tons of great new stuff. Let's see them!

I couldn't make it to Chicago, but did pick up this RARE Nadja proof from a nice forum member.

I don't want any of you caramel experts to burst my bubble by telling me this is NOT a "proof" or NOT a "Nadja".

Its very rare you can tell that certain t206s were cut from the same sheet but since only 7 cards are known to exist like this(parts of 4 piedmont backs, printed upside down)its safe to say they probably came from the same sheet.I bought the 4th a week or so ago.I tried to match them up to make one full back

I got some good stuff at the national, despite the high high prices most dealers had. Scans coming later...

old judge whitney/dog
old judge nash portrait, with one of the deepest, clearest images i have seen on an OJ
matchbook of Cal Hubbard
D381 Fleischmann's Bread Bill McKechnie (thanks Leon!)
Caramelo Deportivo Ray Dandridge (thanks again Leon!!!)
Delong Chick Hafey
M116 Hugh Duffy
E135 Sam Rice
T206 C Griffith portrait

Also picked up a nice Fatima display sign and a Fatima tin that supposedly was what the team cards were packed in.

Unfortunately I missed the dinner and meeting everyone, but I did get to speak with Leon and a couple other board members briefly. Note to self: wait to see what day the dinner is on before making plans!!!

I picked up about 41 '33 Goudeys at the National, including a PSA 1 Ruth, PSA 2 Dizzy Dean, and ungraded HOFers such as Lyons, Collins, Kyler, and Lazerri. Scans to come when I figure out how to!
All in all, a great show. It was nice to meet Leon, Scott, and some other members on Wednesday night.

Awesome picure of those four Piedmont backs... They definitely look like they came from the same sheet to me. Just out of curiousity, who are the players depicted on the front?

As far as my pickups from the National, I didn't buy quantity but found one or two nice pieces to add as types to my collection.

Joshua, I know you'll like the first one!

Got the e103 cards for cheap because the bottom ad is trimmed off - still nice for me for the price. The others are pretty new for this board but I'm happy

Scott - I wasnt sure if that comment was meant for me or not - too many Josh's on the board - but I also have a small grover collection going. Very nice piece.

Not recent, but thought I would share:

AP - really nice e92 matty.

I also really like how you chose to display your m101-2 supps - Ive purchased a few and recently had them framed - still waiting on them to be finished.

Jim B - that is a beautiful 53 Ruth! Congrats. Can I ask how much you paid for it and from whom? I was looking for one too, but couldn't find any I liked for the grade/price, and I didn't see that GAI 4.5 you got.

I was able to pry two rare pinbacks (1924 Walter Johnson Testimonial and 1950's Stan Musial "Clean-up" Club pictured at http://aaronsroom.blogspot.com/) from the personal collection of a well-known dealer at The National (after a couple months of buttering him up). I paid through the nose (I was told I had to match the offer he'd received from MastroNet on the Johnson Testimonial pin--this after telling me he'd just sold a $1 Million collection to MastroNet so I wasn't going to test him), but these pins are basically impossible to find and were in choice condition, so I forked over the dough.

I also bought a c. 1910 Philadelphia "Atheletics" pennant in terrific shape (which was especially surprising since MastroNet had snapped up a full-size 1916 Red Sox pennant about 15 minutes after I passed on it Wednesday night). I'll get a picture up once it's framed.

Otherwise, I bought some wildly off-topic items (1930's Tarzan non-sports cards, etc.) and the wife and I caught the Cubs game at Wrigley. Great trip, great National.

I had a collection of E-106 cards that I let go.Just wondering if they have been enjoyed by anyone out there ?
They were close to my heart, and I haven't seen them since.
Can some one please show me some scans?! I loved these cards dearly, but I gave them up because I was poor at the time.

I spent a record low at the National this year, and less than 1/10th of the money in my pocket. But I did come away with one very nice find..which a good friend eyeballed first. I can't ever get my posts to stick here, but the Ray Schalk Schapira card I bought is now on my website, for sale: www.freewebs.com/goudeyhunter/index.htm

Default Stan Musial Clean Up Club pin

I have a Stan Musial clean up club pin and know very little about it. Could someone help me with some background on this pin and a possible value? It has some rust on the back but the colors are still crisp and the picture and words are perfect, and it has the clasp on it still. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
