Default Pickups

I picked up four of the '15 CJs. Had bids in on about 20 CJ lots plus the Brouthers N172. No such luck on most of them.

Thanks Steven. I love the imagery of the Clarke. One of my favorites of the set by far.

Default one lot

I had some money to play with from consignments, so I picked up this lot. Love looking through stacks... hope there's some hidden gems!

Default 1914 CJ's

You know how most things come with directions that say something to the effect of "..read instructions carefully before beginning.." Well, of course I was too busy/aloof for all that.

I bid on several of the 1914 CJ lots into last night and early this morning. Stayed till the end thinking I had won 4 lots and several to add to my set - but, read again Buelah .. it was offered as complete set or parted out, whichever received the highest bid - set or sum total of the pieces. Set won out.

I'm no fan of that, but - my bad. My bad completely without reservation or excuse. Nothing to post here as a win but if you happened to be the winner of the nice 1914 CJ set - congratulations! If you wish to part out at some point, please let me know :-)

Congratulations to all including those great looking 1915 CJs!

Just to continue off of that. I'm surprised that BOTH of the sets went for more than the total of the lesser lots. I won the 1939 Goudey set and beat out the lots and the guy who won the cracker jack set got a steal!

My weakest area of type collecting is in the area of women's baseball.
Happily, I won the assortment of women's baseball memorabilia.
congrats to whomever won all of the Lionel Carter cards---I bid and lost on all of them!!

many thanks!
all the best,

I was also a high bidder ( I think) on some of the 1914 CJ lots but I knew the rules. If the winner of that set wants to unload some of the cards, I guess he can start with this site. Seems like we have at least a couple of bidders.

I did pick up the CJ Johnson and Mathewson.

For some reason, I didn't get an e-mail to remind my scattered brain, so I missed out on this one!

I won the lot of 3 Max Carey Cabinets. Not sure if this counts as a card or not.

Yep, I got skunked also on the '14's. I wanted to upgrade some of the cards in my set, but it became obvious sometime in the wee hours that the full set price was going to win out. Whoever won the "whole shebang", please put me on the list of those who might be interested in some upgrades.

Default Mantle Postcards

Managed to grab these two. I have been looking for the Holiday Inn postcard for about a year and had never seen one for sale. Of course, as soon as I placed a bid on this one, another popped up on eBay with a ridiculously low buyitnow price. Needless to say, I now own two of these. Very pleased with the purchase though.

Thanks! It didn't take me long to get over that corner/border chip. Aside from that it's a great looking card.. and it will help ease my pain for missing out on a beautiful 3 about a year ago.
