Default What's your favorite T206 back?

Just by looks mainly, what is everybodys favorite back? I gotta go with Carolina Brights, wish I had one.

Same here. Just something about it , plus it's so expensive make it even more desirable.

I like the Hindu backs. They remind me of a circus side show sign or a snake-oil advertisement.

Default Favorite Back?

The back of the newest addition to my collection, while eyeballing it for the first time.

I'm partial to Polar Bear backed cards. I love the dark blue back and putting together a back run of Polar Bear T206's is challenging, but still quite obtainable in the 3-4 (PSA) 40-50 (SGC) range.... with a little patience.

Default I am

I am with Chris. The freaks are my favorite but not sure I would consider them a different back, I will leave the blank backs for debate elsewhere too .....so am changing my answer to the Ty Cobb back (if it is a T206). ..And since this is my scarcest T206 back left I will go with it second.

Ignoring rarity and value, I think the Sweet Caporal back is pretty nicely designed. EPDG too.

To me it's a 2-way tie between a red Hindu and Polar Bear. I love the design of the Hindus and the way the red pops and there is something aesthetically pleasing about the dark blue of the PB backs.

It's good to see that a good amount of people can actually take the money factor out of picking their favorite back. At this point it is very hard to do so because most of the time their rarity makes them more enticing. Love the Polar Bear choices and Ron's Sweet Cap selection. I've always liked American Beauty, Carolina Brights and Sovereign...and let's not forget the coveted Blue Old Mill!

I love the dark background, so completely different from any of the other backs.

From a pure looks POV I have always liked EPDG and have tried to find nice examples when I could, one of the few backs along with BL460 that I tried to collect beyond single examples.

From a neatness and rarity factor I like the Brown Old Mill's.

Because more emphasis is placed on the extreme rarity of the back such as the case in John's example. I've seen one other Drum back reversed that way as well.

A few years ago I asked SGC to slab my back set backwards, I'm sure I wasn't the first but not many folks were doing it at the time...I kind of like it.

P.S. Alex When us "old" guys die you'll have to pay to have flipped around one day.

Hahaha hopefully that is not for many years. That is a really cool idea. Glad that SGC was so accommodating. Do you have a photo of all the backs?

I'd put Carolina Bights, Polar Bear and Broad Leaf at the top of my list.

Great cards everyone. Incredible Ty Cobb back Jim!!

John, your attention to bold, crisp, centered backs is incredible. i appreciate that you collect the card, not the number on the holder. kudos.

FWIW, i actually do not like the flips on the backside, not my thing, but to each his own.
