Anybody do business with this person before...I won an item on ebay on 2/8...did the checkout per their instructions and sent check on the 10th. The check cleared on the 18th. I e-mailed them today asking if the item had shipped.

Here is their response...

<<Your payment was received on or after the 17th. The
address on the check did not match the shipment
address and your shipment has been held. We expect
your shipment to be released early next week.>>

Is it me? Really, why do I keep getting the worst ebayers?

They are going to hold my package another week? For what...I gave them a shipping address...a confirmed shipping address...and they are holding the package eventhough the money is in their bank and has been for two weeks? Yes, the address on my check is my secondary residence...the shipping address in my condo. I don't get it...I am frustrated...

Ebay is not the cool flea market of 1998 and 1999 that I remember.

I won an N99 Sherman at Atlanta from them and it arrived in good shape. They were not the fastest shippers , but I got a nice card.

Unless the seller uses paypal, I am often slow to pay. It's a hassle to go to the post office and purchase a money order.

Currently, some guy with less than 10 feedback has filed a complaint to ebay with me for a "non-payment-dispute" over a boxing guide book by Paul Napoliano or something. I sent him a $20 bill about a week after the auction and he is in fits and starts that I have not paid. He has ignored all of my emails and is only filing complaints with ebay. He has never emailed me. I'm gearing up for my first neg in 7 years and sharpening my wit for a retalitory feedback remark.

I hope you sharpen your wit to respond with a quip of 80 characters or less (including spaces). The only thing you can do is either pony up another $20 or take the negative. It's pretty sad that this happens but then I guess you just can't trust human nature to do the right thing all of the time. Outside chance he didn't receive the cash, but I doubt it, the postal service is usually fairly reliable.

If you sign into www.tw.ebay.com (Taiwans Ebay) and then go to your feedback section you can actually leave a 125 character feedback! Should give you some extra space for more expletives!
